American medium bombers yesterday
attacked Germans in the Gothic line north
of Florence. The Russians yesterday sent a
patrol across the East Prussian border.
The patrol withdrew after making a
reconnaissance. In Romania
the Russians have cleared more roads
running through Transylvania.
In the Philippines area an American
task force wiped out a Japanese convoy of 52
vessels and destroyed 68 Japanese
aircraft.
