Allied bombers from Italy yesterday destroyed at least 10 bridges across the river Po. In the South West Pacific Allied aircraft have knocked out nearly 40 more Japanese supply vessels. Naval aircraft operating from carriers recently bombed the German battleship Tirpitz and destroyed of damaged 18 other enemy vessels and 6 wireless stations. The public telephone service between Britain and all parts of Ireland has now been restored.
