Two British armoured columns are driving ahead after crossing the Belgian frontier not far from Lille. They have advanced north of Tournai. One report says British armoured cars have reached Brussels. American troops are pushing forward on a 30 miles front parallel to the British thrust and are reported to have freed Mons. General Patton's spearhead still operating in security silence are drawing toward the German border. They were last reported near Nancy and Metz. Canadian troops on the Channel coast have outflanked Abbeville. American and French forces are reported 35 miles northeast of Lyon. The War Office has named
