Mediterranean the Luftwaffe lost
72 aircraft against loss of 4
of ours. The German fighters tried to save
the Sicilian airfields. In the number
of 72 are also included 37 planes
destroyed on the ground.
Fighters based on Malta raided
railway targets on Sicily.

and Admiral Standley the USA
ambassador at Moscow.
An Irish ship has been torpedoed
in the Atlantic as has been
announced by radio Dublin.
Two torpedoes were fired to the
ship. The crew were picked up.
