less than 400 yards deep. In the
last few days 30 German counterattacks
against it have been thrown
back. Typhoons silenced the guns
for 50 minutes. In the advance north
of Antwerp it looks as if the Germans
are going to make a stand south of
Bergen op Zoom. The uneasy quiet
around Nijmegen continues. Yesterday
the Germans made a costly attack
