The Commonwealth Party has decided to approach Labour for affiliation. Now Allied troops are advancing in Holland. Queen Wilhelmina recorded a message for British listeners to the 9 o'clock Home Service after which the Dutch National Anthem was played. Joseph Macleod introduced the war report. Preparations for the liberation of Greece were begun in 1942. Godfrey Talbot spoke about the land forces Adriatic which consist of specially trained men, experts on skies, parachutists, small sailing ships and seagoing ships and an RAF regiment fighting as infantry. Kenneth Matthews said that the saving of Patras is due to one man, the harbour pilot who warned partisans so that they could take away the dynamite sticks the Germans had placed.
