The Americans have a bridgehead across the
Seine between Rouen and Paris. Correspondents
have confirmed we have a bridgehead across the
Seine near Mantes between Mantes and Vernon.
The Americans are now advancing on a 80
miles front south of the capital between Melun
and Fontainebleau and also from Orleans.
