United Kingdom troops have fought their way into Vimont southeast of Caen. The Canadian First Army was last night meeting desperate resistance in its drive toward Falaise. British troops in Normandy include the 43rd division and the 231st Malta Brigade. Allied airborne forces have been formed into one army under the American Lieutenant General Lewis Brereton.
