On the Orel front in Russia the German base
itself is looking none too sure.
The Germans are however hitting hard
back anywhere on the front.
American bombers raided one of the
Japanese Kuril Islands which is the
first proper Japanese target after the Tokyo
raid. American Liberators took part.
