sorties yesterday and outside the attacks on oil installations
in the Balkans medium and light bombers attacked
railways in Northern Italy. 15 enemy planes were destroyed
and including 12 heavy bombers 29 of our are missing.
The Russians broke into the outskirts of Minsk on Monday
morning at 2 o'clock and at 7 in the morning the
eastern part of the town was occupied. In the 3 years
of German occupation Minsk suffered terribly.
The Russians already use the railway station at
Borisow. The Germans already announced the loss of
Minsk in their foreign broadcasts. Beyond Minsk
the Russians liberated some 700 other places yesterday.
The Red Army also reached the suburbs of Maladzetsjna.
Polotzk was entered yesterday and the Germans
already reported the loss of it. In Finland the Russians
made more progress between Ladoga and Onega Lakes
advancing on the line Petrozavodsk - Sortavala.
Our Mosquitoes attacked targets in the Ruhr last
night. Mines were also laid, all without loss.
Today weather in the Straits of Dover is brighter.

flying bomb activity in the Commons
