The Soviet breakthrough in Russia causes
a serious threat to the Germans. Rahachow
has been captured and the Russians
are now only 30 miles from Babruysk
on the Berezina. The Germans admit
the loss of Rahachow. The danger for Pskov
has grown greater and the Red Army is
within 15 miles of the town of Tarkhof [?].
