A third Canadian force is beating into
the South Eastern corner of the German
pocket south of the Scheldt. North of
Belfort French troops are across a river.
Since the Royal Canadian Air Force
began operations they dropped over
100.000 tons of bombs on Germany.
In Italy out troops are 10 miles due
south of Bologna. Railway yards near
Venice were also bombed last night.
The liberated town of Sarandë was
a supply base for the Germans on
Corfu. 500 prisoners were also taken
there. In Greece the Greek Government
has already stared emergency
administration which is at work in
Patras. Correspondents in Moscow
